Five Favourite Reads

I love these. I've been doing some embroidery of my own lately and it's nice to see when someone else has a go too. This is such a sweet decoration for a tree too!

I know I live pretty central in this city, but cities, and I mean real bustling, American, sky scraper cities are quite exotic to me. These photos of the fog ghosting over the tips of the buildings are really beautiful. Makes me want to go there.

How We Wore It: 10 Ways To Style Cardigans Right Now by Marlen at Messages On A Napkin

I think these 'How We Wore It' posts are so good. So much hard work goes into them and this one about cardigans is one I'm particularly interested in. I have a love hate relationship with cardigans. I guess I've just never found one that looked right. So yeah, this post is for me!

Sheffield Antiques Quarter Christmas Market by Alex at Cobbles & The Country

My good friend and fellow crafter Alex recently had a wander around the Christmas market at the antiques quarter here in Sheffield. (I would have gone too but we were visiting family back in York). Anyway, it turns out the old Picture House was opened up to the public and filled with stalls and places to sit. The photo above is where the old screen would have been. How cool is that?

Move With The Season by Louise at Pandora

I saw this dress on someone else in blogland recently, I can't remember who it was now, but I do remember following all the links to find this dress and deliberating over it for a long time until I finally convinced myself I don't have the money to spend on 'unnecessaries' this close to Christmas. I'm now reconsidering my decision. Also being tempted back to ginger! Gahhh!

Five Favourite Reads

Hey guys, you no doubt need a break from all that buying, wrapping and card writing so have a sit down and check out some of these.

I love a good food blog. I must admit I pine for and plan to make far more recipes than I actually ever do. I'm still hoping for the Great British Bake Off book for Christmas though! Minimalist Baker has so many awesome dishes, such as this mousse pie. Mousse in the form of a pie. Of course.

Wish I Knew by Rachel-Marie at Jag Lever

Not the first time you've seen Rachel-Marie on here and no doubt the last with outfits like these. I love these shorts, not sure I could pull off those shoes though, they are craaazy!

Outfit: High Waisted Suspender Pants with a Striped Shirt and Silver Oxfords by Jamie at Petite Panoply

This is such a great example of Jamie's fun, laid back style. Very cute trousers and perfect with the striped top. Very glam.

Take A Risk by Mira at Yliarvostettua

I don't even have the words for this one. I can't get over this coat, I would absolutely LOVE one for myself. This look is so sophisticated and bewitching. She really pulls off glamourous gothic.

The Spam Comment Diaries by Kerri at Crumbs In The Bed

Oh man. If you missed this post then here you go, read it now. I laughed out loud to some of these spam comments that Kerri's had. There are some absolute gems in this list. I've never seen anything like them before. I hope one day my blog will be worthy of comments like these!

Now get back to wrapping, not long to go now!

Five Favourite Reads

Feast your eyes on this lovely lot. My favourite reads from this week.

I love Rosaspina Vintage, I have done for a long time. This blog is a timeless classic with some truly charming photo's. This post is everything you'd expect from Ale, a beautiful location, elegant outfit and of course a vintage bicycle!

The Cropped Polo Neck by Claire at Sitting Pretty

There were two posts from Claire this week that I've loved and I could have used either one because I love this look as well. I have however been very attracted of late to the old polo neck and most of them that have been popping up have been cropped. I really like the look, the classic with contemporary. It really does look gorgeous here.

White Plum Giveaway by Tieka at Selective Potential

Ohh that lovely autumny auburn. I love the simplicity of the dress, very cute and matching the shoes with the bag makes for a fine outfit!

Cranberry by Anna at The Flying Clubhouse

These photo's, as all of Anna's, are so enchanting and earthy. I really love this coat she's wearing, can't beat a bit of vintage. The bag too is gorgeous.

Life Lately by Emma at The Fiercest Lilliputian

I'm loving this post simply for Emma's style. She does vintage so well. She's got the look of a bygone era beauty so it really suits her. Another timeless classic to end with! Hope you've all had a great week.

Five Favourite Reads

Home, Sweet, Abandoned Home by Kaylah at The Dainty Squid

I'd be surprised if you told me Kaylah isn't on your reading list. Endlessly interesting. Here's one of her abandoned posts that's full of soulful solitude and some really excellent photo's. Haunting!

A fellow Sheffield blogger, blogging about Sheffield. What's not to like!? Here's she's talking about the ever wonderful Abbeydale road which is a major part of the antiques quarter and has some really lovely vintage shops.

God damn! These jeans! In fact this whole outfit is just something else. I wish I could afford these jeans. They look awesome with the braces and the striped top and that hat is the cherry on top!

Pink To Make The Boys Wink by Sade at In My Sunday Best

Technically this isn't a post from the last week, but I only discovered it this week so that's good enough for the weekly favourites! Besides, if you're wearing an outfit as gorgeous as this, time doesn't matter at all. What can I even say about this outfit. It is simply perfection and I love it. You should definitely check out her others too.

On Top Of The Mountain by Tina at Worteinbildern

I used to go out into the wilderness on my own a lot when I was younger. So when I see photo's like these it makes my heart happy! Tina's blog is full of gorgeous photography.

Five Favourite Reads

In my real life, outside of the internet, I've noticed myself telling people about certain things I've read here and there and a lot of them are from blog posts I've read. How to style such and such, ideas on making things, lots of beautiful interior design ideas etc. So I thought why not share with everyone on here too, you may even discover a new favourite blog. Let's all get to know each other!

So here they are, my five favourite reads this week or so...

Cup North by Claire at Dap and Drink

My friend and sewing buddy Claire is your go-to girl if you're a beer loving coffee enthusiast. She's sampling her way through the Sheffield coffee scene and treats us to her findings on her blog Dap and Drink. This post is from the day she visited the coffee festival Cup North.

Nina Discovers London by Olivia at What Olivia Did

I absolutely love power dressing. Who doesn't? I also love to see it done well by other people. This is one hell of a killer outfit and looks v. cool on Olivia.

Sirens Swimwear Part 3 by Kayla at Gracefully Vintage

I so nearly bought one of these swimming costumes after seeing it on Kayla. Look how nice it is! I had to stop and remind myself that I haven't actually been swimming for about three years and am not likely to any time soon. There's also a part one and two.

Around The House by Kim at Kibster Vintage

Now this is a blog I've only recently discovered. It's where I found that lovely mug I put on my Christmas wish list. This Around the House post is a recurring thing and shows off some really gorgeous vintage gems.

No One Should Stand Alone by Rachel-Marie at Jag Lever

Another killer outfit if e'er I saw one! How cool is this look? I love it - very Olivia Jean! The bold colours work so well.
