Polka Dot Swing Shirt

Blouse - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Timberland

I got this shirt during a bit of a Topshop haul. I went in with a full purse plus a birthday gift card so I knew I wasn't coming out empty handed. 'Tis a wonderful feeling to float around a shop saying "having that!" at everything that catches your eye and this screen print like shirt certainly caught my eye. It also looks good underneath my navy pinafore dress.
I do have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Topshop though. As you know by now I am firmly in the independent camp and love handmade, one off pieces and so wearing something that you know loads of other people will be wearing too is a bit crap. But then on the other hand, you just can't help what you like. If you see something you love then I say get it. Life's too short not to wear the clothes you like. I'll just have to make up for it by making some of my own clothes. Let's hope these trousers I'm on with are a success!

Tularosa Lady

My God what weather! We're in the middle of a heat wave here and I don't think I can take it anymore!  And here's someone who wants to go to Arizona - yeah right! My blood's too thick for South Yorkshire it seems, nevermind the desert.

Anyway, as you can see these photos were taken a wee while ago before the big trim. I know, I need to develope my films more often, which means I need to use the damn things more often! Saying that though, I have noticed I've been reaching for the Minolta a lot more lately.

I suppose this outfit should be dedicated to my beloved clothing colleagues of times gone by. The whole thing (almost) is after all from Sainsbury's which is a million miles away from the Mexican border where I feel I belong when wearing it! Alongside Pat Garrett...or should I say Alias.

Photo's taken with a Konica Minolta Dynax 3000i

Peach Tea

When I wear this outfit I feel like I should be sat on a big open porch, surrounded by magnolia trees drinking peach iced tea with a warm breeze blowing. In actual fact there's a very cold breeze blowing today, as ever.
It's actually not a good day to be wearing a wide brimmed hat but damn it, it goes so well with the dress! Even if it does keep blowing off!

This is what I refer to as my copper dress that I found in a vintage shop in Sheffield, named Vulgar which, alas, is no more but they're still on Asos. It's lovely though, again a high neckline and I love the delicate floral print.

Not quite the deep south but the south nonetheless.....Yorkshire that is! Near enough.
